Baby Steps through Pretend City! – Monthly Theme: Babies First Foods

Specifically for: Infant (0-18 months), grownups. For the comfort of our infant guests, no older siblings please.

This month’s special Baby Steps event will focus on your baby’s nutrition. Topics of discussion will include when to introduce solid foods, food allergies, brain foods, avoiding toxins, and how to encourage healthy eating and a good relationship with food as your child grows.

Grown-up Tip: Avoid using food to soothe. If your baby just ate and they are being fussy try offering a pacifier, going for a walk in the stroller, gently rocking, or singing to your baby. Using food to soothe on a regular basis can create an associate with food that could lead to eating disorders as they grow up.
