Baroque Meets Rock

Presented by Hutchins Consort, The at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, Newport Beach CA

Mar 22 2015
Baroque Meets Rock

Rock musicians owe much to the legendary classical composers that preceded them. For instance, J.S. Bach’s well-known “Orchestral Suite No. 3″ was the inspiration for British rock band Procol Harum’s debut single, “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” Hear this iconic piece of music, along with “Summer,” from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” alongside the music of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix.
