Brand New Reality

As Issued has opened its door to welcome Lizzie Gill, Nil Ultra, Dewey Saunders and Michael Ziobrowski to showcase their skills and generate a dialogue amongst the viewer. Brand New Reality showcases a selection of works from four fresh minded, and consistently prolific designers/collage artist from across the US. Each push the concept of cut/paste further, with substance, modern panache, a pinch of nostalgia, and a complete disregard for any rules that normally apply to the world of collage.

Using an assortment of mediums, including magazines, books, glue and paints, the common ground in the artists works is their ability to take that which belonged to the days of yesteryear and comfortably bring them into the here and now. 

Materials are pulled from a sundry of sources, including; fashion, music and skate magazines, Disney books, as well as political and pop culture references. Each artist, as is always the end result with collage, has found a way to take something old, and build something completely new and real.

Brand New REALity, opens Saturday, September 3rd, featuring the collage work of Lizzie Gill, Nil Ultra, Dewey Saunders and Michael Ziobrowski that will be on display for the public and will remain on view through November 3rd. A selection of artists will be present.
