BYE BYE BIRDIE rocks n rolls into Irvine at Musical Theatre Village!
 
BYE BYE BIRDIE captivated the Broadway stage and movie scene with greats such as Dick Van Dyke and Paul Lynne. Musical Theatre Village brings this 1950s fun loving satire to life Friday, July 24 through Sunday, August 23. The story follows Manager Albert Peterson’s effort to get one last bit of fame out of Rock N Roll legend Conrad Birdie before he leaves for the army. Albert and his faithful secretary Rosie, devise a plan for Conrad to give a final kiss to a lucky young fan in Sweet Apple, Ohio on the beloved Ed Sullivan show. The typical 1950s town is thrown for a loop-de-loop as the variety of characters add their own issues to the storyline. From Kim and her new steady Hugo, to the teens of Sweet Apple, to Albert’s over involved mother Mae, the show is sure to keep the audience entertained! We invite you to step back into the 1950 society and enjoy a high energy, dance impressive glimpse into Conrad Birdie’s final military free days.

The Bye Bye Birdie cast is comprised of children and teens who will have you singing along and dancing in your seats with favorites Put on A Happy Face,Kids, and A Lot of Livin’ to Do!  The production is directed and choreographed by guest Director Brandon Nease, with Musical Director, Marianne Smith.

Show times for Bye Bye Birdie are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm.  Tickets are $16 for general admission and $14 for Seniors/Children under 12years.  Tickets can be purchased through the SeatYourself link on the front page of this website or by calling (949)753-1996.
