Casa Cinema: Charade

Audrey Hepburn and Carey Grant star in this comedic-yet-suspenseful whodunit film about a wealthy woman being pursued by several strangers who seek a fortune that her murdered husband had stolen. Co-starring Walter Matthau (The Odd Couple, Dennis the Menace), James Coburn (The Great Escape, Affliction) and George Kennedy (Cool Hand Luke, The Naked Gun), no one’s identity can be trusted while the money’s at large. Often described as “the best Hitchcock film that Hitchcock didn’t make,” the film received numerous Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, while Audrey Hepburn won “Best Actress” for the film at the 1965 British Academy Film Awards.
