CYOSC hosts an annual concerto competition, which is open to non-members this year. The winner performs with the CYOSC Symphony Orchestra at our finale concert in May. Runners-up perform with a chamber orchestra at a concert in February.
The Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California (CYOSC) Concerto competition is open to all school-age students. Students should perform one movement of a concerto (double concertos etc also welcome ), or similar solo piece. The level of the piece should be Suzuki bk 4 and above. Students will be judged on their musicality, technical proficiency, interpretation, and overall level of preparedness. ADMISSION INFO
This competition is open to both CYOSC members and non-members. The entry fee is $40 per student. However, non-members selected to play in the concerto concert in February, or the Finale Concert, will need to pay an additional $250 to participate.

Round 1 takes place at Rancho Senior Center in the evening on Jan 19th and 26th. Each participant's time slot will be sent to them after registration closes.
