Costa Mesa: The LGBT Military Experience

Heroes Hall Museum presents our next Fighting for the Right to Fight Speaker Series – Our Service, Our Stories: The LGBT Military Experience, featuring the documentary film.

Following the film will be a panel discussion with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) military veterans. The veterans will share their experiences serving in the U.S. armed forces from the Vietnam era through the conflicts in the Middle East. They will address a variety of topics including the challenges they faced as LGBT service members, the devastating impacts of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy, and how to right the wrong.
