Dance Summer Session - Hip Hop (July 6 - August 30)

Hip Hop fundamentals: Monday 4-5pm

Learn the basic skills, terminology and body placement of hip hop culture in this high-energy class. Introducing the fundamentals of hip hop, grooving, popping, locking and breaking, class will challenge students to learn how to count music, pick up choreography, and build the confidence necessary to groove to the music.

This class is offered both in-person and virtual (livestreamed). To ensure dancer safety and physical distancing, in-person class size is limited to 10. If in-person classes are restricted for part or all of the Summer Session, enrolled students will automatically be switched to the virtual class and tuition will be adjusted.

Int/Adv Hip Hop: Monday 5:15 – 6:15pm
This high-energy and fast-paced class features more intricate hip hop choreography. Focusing on performance skills and musicality, class will provide students the space to improve on quality of movement and dive deeper into their own style. Kevin Pascua
Influenced by hip-hop culture from a young age, @kevinpascua began his training in b-boying and urban dance choreography in 2006. His style is best described as groovy & dynamic with a strong emphasis on character embodiment, and he challenges his students to learn foundational techniques and a variety of new styles that they can adapt and apply to their craft.
