Fundraiser: The Touching Elephant Man Play

Join Emmy-nominated Producer/Director Pamela Peak brings her fabulous On Impulse Actors to the Randy Higbee Art Gallery to perform the moving story of The Elephant Man.  This is not just a play, it a fund-raiser for Eddy Newton, a kind and wonderful man who has suffered with the painful Elephant Man disease all his life.  A man who was not supposed to live past the age of 8 years old, because of this disfiguring disease, but has lived by sheer will, many decades past his predicted life-span.

Eddy Newton, suffers from the same disease as John Merrick did, The Elephant Man who lived back in the late 1800s. It is called neurofibromatosis. And like John Merrick, Eddy Newton too is a warm-hearted artist and kind person. But Eddy is undergoing continuous operations and lives in daily pain. Thus, Pamela Peak and her On Impulse Actors have come together to raise money, through the performance of The Elephant Man Play, to help Eddy Newton.
