Don’t miss the opening of this unique art exhibition from artist Heriberto Luna. In this exhibition Luna’s work celebrates early Mexican art and pays homage to his Latin ancestry.
The grandchild of one of Zapata’s revolutionary soldiers and a traditional Mayan shaman, Heriberto Luna embraces his colorful Mexican ancestry in dazzling paintings that draw inspiration from pre-Columbian art and culture. Patterns with roots in ancient temple hieroglyphics assemble to form hummingbirds, jaguars, and the mythical beings who mediate between humans and the powerful forces of the natural world.
