Get a Taste of Edible + Sustainable Home Gardening at Room & Board!

On Sunday, April 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., the showroom is partnering with Environmental Nature Center (ENC) to bring guests an enlightening (& delicious!) event that’s sure to impact your home gardening + cooking for years to come.

Attendees will enjoy a special presentation on “A Foodie’s Guide to Native Plants” by ENC representative, Lori Whalen, who will speak about the different plants and herbs that are native to the area, easy to grow, and safe to use in any food or drink.  From herbal teas and seasonings to fruits and vegetables, guests will experience the tastes and scents of these plants while enjoying light bites that have been prepared using these locally-grown ingredients.

In addition, all attendees will have the opportunity to create their own tea to take home using dried plants and re-usable tea bags.  Plus, one lucky guest will win a $250 Room & Board gift card!
