 Grupo Falso Baiano plays a mix of Brazilian choro and jazz. Choro is ofter considered the "ragtime of Brazil" made popular in the 1920s and 1930s.  This music is the "mother" of samba.  This concert features special guest vocalist Katia Moraes on sultry classic sambas.  The band is based in Norther California but has traveled throughout the West Coast and Brazil.
