KaraokeFest 2014 Creme de la Kids & Tributes Contests

 Singers hoping to earn a spot in the finals at KaraokeFest 2014, the largest singing event of its kind presented by Karaoke Scene Magazine, are invited to participate in qualifying round events at the Orange County Market Place.

The Orange County Market Place will be the exclusive location for all Crème de la Kids qualifying rounds which will be held four Saturdays in June for ages 17 years and under. (Contestants must be 17 or younger on the date of KaraokeFest, Sept. 6)

Qualifying round dates are June 7, 14, 21 and 28 and will begin at 11am each day. Registration/sign ups from 9am to 10:30am.

Five winners will be selected on each qualifying date from the field of contestants. All finalists will compete during KaraokeFest 2014 at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona. Trophies, cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.

While the King of Rock and Roll still reigns supreme with the Crème de la King Contest, a new competition for all other tribute artists has been created. Crème de la Tributes is open to all other music performers, impersonators and tribute artists. Looks (best resemblance to the entertainer) and vocal ability will be primary criteria for this contest. Qualifying rounds for the "Tributes" competition will also be exclusively held at the Orange County Market Place and run in conjunction with the Crème de la Kids, and will begin at 1pm on the same dates. Registration/sign ups from 11am to 12:30pm.

Five contestants each week will be selected to compete at KaraokeFest 2014 and vie for trophies, cash and merchandise prizes for first, second and third place. Cash awards are $500 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place.

The Finals for Crème de la Tributes will replace the Crème de la King Finals at KaraokeFest, and will be held this year during the 15th annual Elvis Festival at the Orange County Market Place on Sunday, August 24 at 11am. First, second and third place winners from the "King" Finals at the Festival will perform (not compete) in a special showcase during KaraokeFest 2014.

Qualifying rounds for both competitions ("Kids" & "Tributes") require a $5 registration fee, which does not include swap meet admission ($2, children 12 and under are free).

The Orange County Market Place is located at 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa at the O.C. Fair and Event Center. All competitions will be held on stages within the swap meet interior.
