Henrietta Brewster fancies herself a student of the Freudian school of psychology. In this highly amusing travesty about misapplied psychology, Henrietta’s obsession with psychoanalysis leads to a completely off-the-wall interpretation of a dream, and very nearly to divorce, before the absurdity of the situation is realized.

When Susan Glaspell and her husband George Cram Cook wrote Suppressed Desires in the winter of 1914-1915, they could not imagine the transcendence this hilarious one-act play would achieve. Join us as we celebrate the first play ever produced by Laguna Playhouse, in October of 1920, 100 years ago.
