Love Grows by Giving

Waymakers Huntington Beach Youth Shelter will hold its annual Love Grows by Giving wine tasting fundraiser taking place at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. The event will feature a selection of food and drink from local wineries, restaurants, breweries, and bars. All proceeds from this event directly benefit the children and youth served by Waymakers Huntington Beach Youth Shelter, a 3-week crisis intervention program for homeless, runaway, at-risk and abused youth between the ages of 11 to 17.

At the Shelter, the youth receive comprehensive services including a warm bed, 3 healthy meals a day, academic assistance, clothes, hygiene items, case management and individual, group, and family therapy— all free of charge. Over the last 17 years, we have successfully reunified 94% of our youth with their families following the 3-week program. To continue to offer these free services to struggling youth in our community, we host numerous fundraisers throughout the year, such as Love Grows by Giving.
