LPAPA+LOCA Present "Lay It Down & Leave It"

Join LPAPA Signature Artist Debra Huse in Laguna Beach for “Lay it Down & Leave It!”, a 1-day indoor/in-studio landscape painting workshop designed to teach techniques to create a more effortless plein air painting. Stop futzing! Learn how to mix bigger piles of paint and get it onto your brush and off onto the canvas without overworking it. Debra is an award-winning Contemporary Impressionist. She uses rich color and bold, fluid strokes to capture the light and drama in her paintings. Debra travels most of the year, capturing scenes on location, and has a working studio in a Southern California boatyard.

Debra will be demonstrating and teaching her painting techniques using oil paints, however, all painting mediums, and experience levels, are welcome. Participants will be working from photo reference provided by the instructor. A recommended art materials and supply list will be provided upon registration.

This workshop is presented through an art education collaboration with LOCA Arts Education and the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and is supported with Grant Funding through the City of Laguna Beach.
