Featured weekly on SoCal’s #1 jazz station, KJazz 88.1, singer Maria Schafer’s mesmerizing voice and winsome, genuine style have captivated jazz lovers over the airwaves and on the world stage. Ms. Schafer has performed at festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival and Montreal Jazz Festival, and appeared on performing arts center stages across the USA and Canada, Riga Jazz Stage in Latvia, and Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Blue Note Tokyo, and Blue Note Nagoya in Japan, including two years spent touring full-time with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in more than 500 performances. Her two full-length albums featuring new-fashioned standards and originals can be heard on stations across the country including KKJZ (Los Angeles), KNKX (Washington), KCSU (Colorado), WDCB (Chicago), and CBC Radio in Canada.
