Born in Los Angeles to Estonian immigrants in 1960, Kostabi grew up in Whittier and studied fine arts at California State University, Fullerton.  In 1988 at New York, he founded Kostabi World and his works feature faceless figures in surreal settings.  Since the early 1990s, Kostabi’s work has been widely exhibited throughout Italy and today is exhibited in over 50 museums throughout the world.
