Muck Art Class: Creative Ceramics

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center (Muck) is pleased to offer Everyday Creative Ceramics with Young Shin Kim.

Create your own utilitarian and decorative ceramic pieces for everyday use with Master Ceramist, Young Shin Kim. You will learn how to make pieces with both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Learn how to conceive forms and how to complete the pieces with slip, stain, and glaze. Learn the Buncheong technique, a special decoration skill with white slip, rooted in Korean traditional pottery. All the pieces are glazed with lead-free and food safe glazes and are fired at high-firing in gas kilns.
