Muck: Tactile Arts for Visually Impaired Youth

Free art classes this summer at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center (Muck) in Fullerton.

Work with air dry clay and found materials to create unique mixed media sculptures.

Learn the basics of working with clay including coiling, molding, imprinting, and sgraffito to create highly textured works of art.

*Open to children and teens, whether sighted or visually impaired.

All participating students will learn about different ways an artist with blindness or low vision approaches art making. Students will be challenged to think about art from a tactile rather than strictly visual perspective, fostering all participants’ creative problem-solving skills.
