OC Model Train Rides

Orange County Model Engineers (OCME) invites all ages to join us at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa for free train rides.  We’ll be traversing the park for a leasurely 12-15 minute 1.25 mile jog through the nature park on our scale railroad.  Come find the flying, running, and crawling animals that inhabit the park, and get a ride over and under our newly refurbished trestle.

Welcome to OCME. We are a non-profit 501(c) tax deductible organization that operates a 7.5-inch gauge railroad at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa, California known as the Mackerel Flats and Goathill Junction Railroad. The club was founded in 1985 by a group of local railroad buffs and currently has close to 5 miles of actual track winding through the park. A variety of trains run on the track and represent 1.5-inch, 2.5-inch and 3.75-inch scale equipment.
