Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble takes a visit to “Olde World” Europe! Rimsky-Korskov’s noble fanfare heralds the opening of the season and spearheads this performance, which is centered around two significant folk works for winds – Malcolm Arnold’s English Dances Set and Percy Grainger’s seminal work Lincolnshire Posy. William Walton’s Crown Imperial concludes the concert, celebrating the 80th anniversary of King George the VI.
