Ray Roberts Online Painting Classes

Join LPAPA Signature Artist Ray Roberts for live weekly online painting classes focused on “Fundamentals of Structure & Design in the Seascape”, a 4-part series of weekly classes starting Monday June 8th through Monday June 29th (10:00-11:00 am weekly).

Ray will talk through each painting demonstration with step-by-step reasoning justifying his strategy, while answering your questions live. Ray is an award winning artist who has painted hundreds of locations throughout his career and has accumulated a vast library of images from each of these locations. The challenge with painting is every location has its demands and strategy with the way one approaches their painting. Situational challenges from water to atmospheric perspective, from bright colors to light/dark shapes; all have their considerations.

Ray will pace you through his process of painting; selection, layout, block-in, and refining. Each step will illustrate his academic approach as applied to painting the landscape. Many situational strategies revealed. Students will have access to stream/download HD recordings of each class (provided through an email link 1 week after the class air date) plus access to Ray’s limited/exclusive Facebook Workshop Group.

$120 for the full 4-part weekly series with a portion of the class fee supporting local nonprofit Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA)!
