South Coast Plaza: Special Bowers Museum Installation

Bowers Museum is delighted to announce a special installation at Jewel Court in South Coast Plaza showcasing a selection of exquisite artifacts complemented by a stunning wrap unveiling of our next exhibits – The Power of Photography and Beyond the Great Wave: Works by Hokusai from the British Museum.  Visitors to South Coast Plaza may experience a sneak peak at two captivating exhibits and learn more about the Bowers Museum.

The Power of Photography will feature a selection of over 70 iconic original prints which were compiled by the pioneering collector and gallerist Peter Fetterman, on view at Bowers Museum October 7, 2023 – January 14, 2024.

Beyond the Great Wave: Works by Hokusai from the British Museum will include a beautiful early example of Katsushika Hokusai’s (Japanese, 1760-1849) The Great Wave and venture beyond to feature a broad selection of works that Hokusai produced right up to his death at the age of 90. The exhibition will be on view October 21, 2023 – January 7, 2024.
