Sunset Jazz at Bistango with a Tribute to Louis Armstrong

Two very Special Nights will feature a Tribute to Louis Armstrong with performances by Byron Stripling, Bobby Floyd Quartet with Joe Labarbera and Bruce Forman.

After a worldwide search some years ago, Byron Stripling left the Count Basie Orchestra when he was chosen to play the lead role in the Broadway bound musical, “SATCHMO.” His electrifying and heartfelt tribute has become America’s most popular orchestra pops program for major venues, including The Boston Pops, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Jazz Orchestra and the Hollywood Bowl. Byron will lead his All-Star quartet for the 12th year in a row on our stage and plans to play such favorites as “What A Wonderful World”, “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans”. Joining Byron will again be popular swinging Hammond B3 player- Bobby Floyd along with acclaimed guitarist Bruce Forman and legendary drummer- Joe LaBarbera. Don’t miss an evening of fabulous music, amazing food & drinks, and great company at this Bistango jazz event of the season.
