The traditional end to Pacific Symphony’s Summer Festival, including the thrilling climax of thundering cannons and spectacular fireworks in Tchaikovsky’s “1812” Overture! Also: the wit, charm and vigor of Rachmaninoff’s great piano work played by Jon Nakamatsu and Mussorgsky’s grand memorial to an artist friend, today one of his most popular compositions.
