The traditional end to Pacific Symphony’s Summer Festival, including the thrilling climax of thundering cannons and spectacular fireworks in Tchaikovsky’s “1812” Overture! Also: the wit, charm and vigor of Rachmaninoff’s great piano work played by Jon Nakamatsu and Mussorgsky’s grand memorial to an artist friend, today one of his most popular compositions. Led by Music Director Carl St.Clair.
