The Road to Southern California

The Road of Southern California is part of a 6-week exhibition in Santa Ana, Journey Stories.  Our grand opening event features activities for all ages.  Families will be able to ride on a horse-drawn wagon and trolley as well as seeing a working steam fire engine demonstration, participate in a scavenger hunt, and presentations.  Have fun while learing about how different modes of travel influenced the cultures within Orange County!

Journey Stories is part of Museum on Main Street, and brought to Heritage Musuem of Orange County by the Smithsonian Institution and Exhibit Envoy.  Enjoy historic photos, artifacts, and personal accounts from the individuals that make up Journey Stories, the hostiry of the development and evolution of our needs as Americans to move and expand – to journey – both physically and psychologically.

The exhibit will be at Heritage Musuem of Orange County October 5 – November 16, 2014.  Open daily 9am – 5pm.
