Directed by Dr. Stephen Tucker, the UCI Symphony will perform a program featuring the music of African-American composers. The UCI Symphony was founded in 1960 and has had several conductors, including Mehli Mehta, Zelman Bokser, and Thomas Cockrell. The orchestra performs in Orange County throughout the school year and has adopted the symphony orchestra at Santa Ana High School.
