First performed in 1739 in London, Israel in Egypt was shocking to early listeners. Audiences were not accustomed to hearing such highly dramatic performances of Biblical texts. Parking for Performances: Parking on weekends is free starting at 5 pm, Fridays. At all other times, daily permits are required and can be purchased for $10 upon entering the parking structure. Cash is not accepted. Visa, MasterCard and Discover only.
