As a special Halloween treat the Costa Mesa Playhouse presents the world premiere of “Vampire Queen of Mars,” written and directed by Playhouse Board President Michael Dale Brown, running October 19 – November 11.
In this campy spoof of 1950's sci-fi B-movies like Cat Women of the Moon, Queen of Outer Space, and Rocketship X-M, Earth launches a manned rocket to Mars in response to mysterious distress signals and encounters a race of Amazon vampires led by the beautiful and evil Queen Voluptua.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the first performance, Friday, October 19, are “pay what you will” with a suggested minimum of $10. Saturday, October 20 is the opening night Gala, including a post-show reception. Gala tickets are $25 general and $23 for students and seniors.
For all other performances, tickets are $22 for general admission and $20 for students and seniors. Group discounts are also available for groups of 10 people or more
