Vital Link’s Electric Vehicle Challenge - Annual Racing Tournament

Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge, formerly known as the Energy Invitational Competition, is the ultimate showcase of students pushing the limits of design, construction, and racing prowess.

Throughout the school year, students build energy-efficient vehicles from the ground up or by modifying existing vehicles using a combination of energy sources. As students build their operational prototypes, they acquire an understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, and more. Over 25 high school teams and 250 students will showcase their impressive creations by competing head-to-head in an exciting timed-trial race for the top prize.

Spectators can expect to witness cutting-edge technology, creative design solutions, and fierce competition as teams vie for the coveted first-place prize. Beyond the excitement of the races, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with students and educators, gaining insight into the future of sustainable transportation.
