When Music Became Magic

The Hilbert Museum presents a new Fall exhibition featuring Disney’s Fantasia:  When Music Became Magic.  Walt Disney’s 1940 feature Fantasia was a huge gamble: a mostly story-free series of animated segments set to classical music. Released into a world enmeshed in combat and worry, it was not a hit. Today, it’s considered a classic! Enjoy this selection of original drawings and production cels from The Hilbert Collection.

Join us for a special Open House 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on September 17 (no reservations required) or see the exhibit during regular hours Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. through December 3.
