Winter Series: Carrying On the Avant-Garde during the War, 1914-1918

When World War I broke out, artists and nations were impacted in different ways. The winter lecture series will explore the artist’s reactionary spirit and creative response to this social and political discourse. The evolution of the avant-garde in the Netherlands, France, the United States, Russia and England will be discussed.
