Luncheon Commemorates 50 Years of Women in Sports

Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda invites the community to a special luncheon to Commemorative the 50th Anniversary of Title IX and the opening of our permanent exhibit, Evening the Odds:  Women Leading the Way.

Join former U.S. Commerce Secretary Barbara Franklin and Team USA Gold Medalists, Janet Evans,  Courtney Mathewson, and Kerri Walsh Jennings to celebrate and analyze the impact of Title IX 50 years to the day that President Nixon signed it into law in 1972.

Few knew just how consequential Title IX would be. In just 37 words, Title IX launched a revolution in women’s sports.
