Position: Executive & Development Associate
Reports To: Executive/Artistic Director
Status: Part Time (11-month cumulative contact subject to annual renewal; 15/hours per week)
Compensation: $14,000-$17,000 commensurate with experience
Goal Effective Date: March 1, 2019

You will grow the position to be self-sustainable and ultimately lead to a full-time Development Director or Executive Director opportunity.
Detailed Position Summary:
Choral Arts Initiative seeks an enthusiastic and motivated leader to serve as its Executive & Development Associate. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, Executive/Artistic Director, and staff, the Executive & Development Associate will develop, implement, and monitor actionable strategies that achieve the organizational goals and objectives as it relates to development and arts administration. The Executive & Development Associate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills and will use those skills to create sustainable financial opportunities to support the operations of the organization. The Executive & Development Associate will seek out new and established funding opportunities at the local, state, and national level. The Executive & Development Associate will plan, coordinate, and facilitate fundraising and community engagement events to build lasting partnerships. The Executive & Development Associate will be available to serve as an ambassador for the organization in all performances, events, and guest interactions.

Develop, coordinate, and execute a comprehensive strategy of financial development and support:
Marketing:
Coordinate with the Marketing & Publicity Director in the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to market Choral Arts Initiative, affiliated groups, and programs throughout the market area:
Community Relations:
Planning:
Assist with short-term and long-term planning and engage the board and staff in annual planning sessions:
Staffing and Training:
Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of administrative staff as needed to achieve the organization’s objectives:
