Be prepared to sing 2 one minute (32 measures) contrasting song selections to show off appropriate character and range for the role(s) you are auditioning for. An accompanist will be provided.
Please bring sheet music in the correct key.

SYNOPSIS
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds

ROLES
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Male, 30 to 50): Brilliant brain surgeon and professor, dedicated to his work and innocent of the world at large. (Baritone)

Elizabeth (Female, 30 to 40): Frederick’s spoiled and self-centered fiancée. (Mezzo Soprano)
Igor (Male, 30 to 50): A hunchback servant at the Frankenstein estate in Transylvania. Faithful, bright-eyed, and eager. Great comedic role. (Baritone)

Inga (Female, 20 to 40): A bubbly but not-so-bright Transylvanian woman who becomes Dr. Frankenstein’s eager assistant. (Mezzo Soprano)

Igor (Male, 30 to 50): A hunchback servant at the Frankenstein estate in Transylvania. Faithful, bright-eyed, and eager. Great comedic role. (Baritone)

Frau Blucher (Female, 40 to 60): The intense, stern housekeeper at the Frankenstein estate -- and former lover of Victor Frankenstein. A great, slyly comic role. (Alto)

Inspector Kemp (Male, 40 to 60): Head of the local police, with a highly developed sense of his own power . He has a wooden leg and arm. (Baritone)

Blind Man (Male, 30 to 60): Lonely, poor, blind town hermit who is longing for a friend. (Baritone)

Ziggy (Male, 18 to 30): Well-intentioned village idiot.

The Monster (Male, 18 to 50): The misunderstood monster created when Dr. Frankenstein performs his famous brain transplant. Physically imposing. (Baritone)

Ensemble (Males and Females, 18 to 65: Many featured roles, including a barbershop quartet. This group will portray gravediggers, villagers, medical students, passengers, mad scientists, and various supporting roles. We are also looking for strong dancers; tap dancing is a plus.
