SYNOPSIS
Based on the classic movie comedy by Mel Brooks, this musical adaptation examines how two Broadway producers try to scam the system by raising more money than is necessary to produce a show guaranteed to close on Opening Night.  Adult and [some may say] tasteless humor is guaranteed to offend everyone.

ROLES:
MAX BIALYSTOCK   (M - 40s - early 60s) a faded Broadway producer, down on his luck; slimy, shifty, manipulative, but somehow lovable. Although not a dance role, must be able to move (Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor  )
LEO BLOOM (M - 20s - 30s) a meek and mild, by the book Accountant and wannabe producer who sees his one chance in teaming up with Max. Should be able to tap and ballroom dance (Vocal Range:  Tenor)
ULLA INGA HANSEN BENSON YONSEN TALLEN-HALLEN SVADEN-SVANSON (F - 20s - 30s) Beautiful, sexy Swedish bombshell who  comes to audition and ends up being the producers’ receptionist and object of love/lust.  Must be able to perform a Astaire/Rogers style dance with Leo (Vocal Range:  Mezzo Soprano)
FRANZ LIEBKIND (M - 30s-early 50s) Author of Springtime for Hitler - a rabid Nazi and bird-lover; must be able to do a believable German accent and a comic Bavarian dance (Vocal Range:  Baritone)
ROGER DEBRIS (M - 40s - early 60s) Flamingly gay Broadway director hired to direct Springtime for Hitler, who steps in to play the Fuhrer on opening night (Vocal  range:  Baritone/Tenor)
CARMEN GHIA (M - 20s - 40s) Roger’s even more flaming partner and assistant (Vocal range:  High Tenor)
MR. MARKS/JUDGE (M - 50s - 70s) plays both the stuffy and abusive head of Leo’s accounting firm and the Judge overseeing Max’s trial; non-singing, non-dancing role.
ENSEMBLE:  We are looking to cast 8 men and 8 women to play the Hitler chorus, play-goers, usherettes, old ladies, convicts, Roger’s team, and everyone else that pops up.  We need strong dancers and singers. Tap skills are a plus.
