Employment Status: Full-Time (40 hours a week); Non-exempt

Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Must be available to work some nights, weekends and occasional overtime during off-season and increased hours, nights and weekends during peak season (June, July & August)

Position Summary
Provides administrative support to the Exhibits Director. Assists in administration and execution of all exhibits’ activities and programs.  Oversees correspondence and communication to all exhibit related committees and maintains records and contact information for exhibitors.

Jury Responsibilities
Assists in preparation and execution of digital and physical juries. Handles related inquiries and correspondence, maintains prospective exhibitor contact information, and coordinates juror schedules and communication.

Art Education
Coordinates summer schedules for all art center staffing during summer season. Acts as supervisor for weekly children’s summer art program; coordinates instructors, orders supplies, assists during instruction as needed, and monitors set-up and after class clean up.

Docent Program Coordinator
Assists in docent recruiting, training, coordination and appreciation programs.  Schedules volunteer docents for tours.

Junior Art Exhibit
Coordinates with volunteer exhibitor jurors for two-dimensional and three-dimensional art mediums and off site jurying. Assists with the collection of the artwork, preparation for summer exhibit and arraignment for the return of artwork to the District Office at close of exhibit. Prepares student artist information for print in catalog.

Venue Management
Assists in off-season rental of Festival facility, including giving tours to prospective applicants, reviewing applications and answering questions.

Position requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent, AS/BS degree preferred, emphasis in arts highly desirable

3+ yrs. prior administrative experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Mac, Photoshop, Adobe

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Highly organized, able to prioritize and troubleshoot issues

Able to work independently and in a team environment

1 to 2 yrs. prior supervisory and scheduling experience highly desirable

Knowledge of art and passion for promoting art

Must be able to meet physical demands of job to include walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting and move or lift objects up to 20 lbs. Able to work in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions.

Able to work nights and weekends as needed.

The offer of employment for the final candidate is contingent upon satisfactory completion of    and outcomes of a criminal background screening, and upon the acceptance of and returning to Human Resources a signed original acceptance of the Agreement to Arbitrate.
