Traditional Fine Arts Organization (TFAO) is interested in co-sponsorship grants to institutions in Orange County and nationwide planning American representational art special/temporary exhibitions with a special interest in intra-county collaborative and touring exhibits.

Exhibitions may be either web-based and/or in-person, featuring pre-WWII artworks based on topics such as ethnic identity, regionalism, impressionism, realism, portraits, landscapes, decorative arts and crafts, murals, art colonies, and non-journalistic photography.  View Grant Details

There is no fixed level of funding for projects, however we prefer our grants be less than $12,000 per project comprising 10% to 25% of the total project costs.  Depending on circumstances, grants may be issued 100% up front or follow a phased schedule.   View Funding Details

How to Apply -  The first step in securing a grant is to submit a Letter of Inquiry (maximum two pages) via email to info@tfaoi.org to determine eligibility.  Please include the following:

1. Brief description of the project and the benefits to be realized
2. Rough estimate of the amount of financial support to be requested
3. Links to Internal Revenue Service and state of incorporation non-profit status documentation (links to online agency files are acceptable) and financial statements/annual report for the most recently completed fiscal year if available (TFAO may waive this in some cases).

TFAO will contact eligible projects in approximately one month to discuss project funding.
