Segerstrom Center for the Arts seeks a full-time Coordinator for Community Engagement to serve as an integral member of the department and will play a key role in the planning and coordination of Argyros Plaza programs and related department operations. The individual will be an excellent communicator and able to work with a diverse range of styles effectively. As a valued thought partner to the team, the coordinator will participate in developing plans to accomplish broader community awareness of the Center’s public programs and initiatives.
View Position Details
- Provides day-to-day operational/administrative support for Community Engagement
- Assists with general administrative tasks relating to the planning and execution of all Community Engagement activations
- Schedules and organizes department and interdepartmental meetings, contacting individuals, booking rooms, coordinating catering arrangements, and preparing meeting materials and parking for guests when needed
- Assists with budget tracking, invoice tracking, and payment processing for the Community Engagement department
- Maintains regular, detailed communication with Community Engagement team members and all appropriate departments within the organization
- Ensures that concurrent projects with competing deadlines and pressures are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget
- Provides direct administrative and logistical support for Vice President, Community Engagement
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment with minimum supervision, as well as part of a dynamic team
- Supports planning, coordination, and implementation of on- and offsite Community Engagement programs, events, workshops, and activities
- Collaborates with Community Engagement team to design and develop department projects and public programming, with a special focus on Argyros Plaza activations
