Each spring, The Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The winning artwork of each district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country, and will also be featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.

Students attending schools within the 49th District of Congressman Mike Levin are encouraged to particpate.  Cities include:  San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Mission Viejo, and the unincorporated community of Las Flores.
