Call for Artists - Jobs

Website: http://www.cocktailsandpaint.com

 Los Angeles, CA, Unknown

Cocktails & Paint is licensing energetic people in a city near you! Do you LOVE to paint? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you have a signature drink? Then working with our Cocktails & Paint team may be for you!

Cocktails & Paint runs 2 hour social painting parties at local restaurants and bars and we are currently hiring for positions in Orange (primarily) and Long Beach counties. The Teaching Artists instruct these step-by-step events, and the Assistants do not have to have artistic ability (though many Artists train dually for both roles). Cocktails & Paint is a PARTY and not a CLASS. We eat, drink, party, and paint at once! We love to bring the joy of painting to primarily non-artistic people on a nightly basis. It's amazing to see what our customers can do with an Artist's guidance! Work as little as one event per week, or nearly nightly, it's up to you. Check us out at wwwcocktailsandpaint.com.

Events are typically 7-9pm and you arrive early to set up and then cleans up afterwards. Artists shifts are about 3.5-4 hours.

Pay: As a licensee you can make anywhere between $400 to $600 an event depending on a 40 person event turnout.

Requirements: Must be CHARISMATIC. This job is about being an ENTERTAINER more than an art instructor. Must be comfortable meeting new people. Must be patient. Must be reliable. Must be 21+ because of working environment. Must have a car to drive to event locations. Artists must have acrylic painting capabilities. Must be comfortable lifting 40 lbs for a short period of time (the supply kits used at events have a few heavy plastic bins!). Sales and/or customer service experience.

Preferred: Good sense of humor. Entertainment experience.

No previous art instruction experience necessary!

To apply, send to Paul Sandher at info@cocktailsandpaint.com:

1. A stated letter of interest including your name, phone number, email and city of place where you want to license
2. A brief description of previous job experience, doesn't need to be a formal resume but can be.
3. Attach 3 small size jpgs with images of original paintings you have created.

Please note, we do require a non-compete, meaning you cannot be employed by other social painting companies while working for Cocktails & Paint. Please do not apply if you are on another "paint and sip's" payroll.
