Cowabunga: Artists Celebrate California Culture with Quirky Cow Exhibit

Cowabunga: Artists Celebrate California Culture with Quirky Cow Exhibit

Presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities at Dana Wharf & Sportfishing

This summer, visitors to Dana Point, will be greeted with an unexpected public art project featuring 16 giant cows painted in tribute to California’s unique culture. The herd, called Cowabunga, will be grazing in the Lantern District, Dana Point Harbor, Capo Beach and the Interpretive Center from July through August. The painted cow sculptures will eventually be auctioned off to benefit Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, which helps pediatric cancer patients, their siblings and parents heal together through a variety of residential camping programs.
