Mexico’s oldest surviving silent film, Tepeyac tells the story of the Virgen de Guadalupe’s apparition to Juan Diego in 1531 set within a story about a woman who receives word that her husband’s ship has been sunk in the Atlantic by a German U-boat. This film will be screened with live musical accompaniment. Presented by Media Arts Santa Ana (MASA) in association with the Bowers Museum, the Mexican Consulate in OC and the Filmoteca de la UNAM.
