October 5 | Part I: Rome: From Ancient to Modern

October 12 | Part 2: Paris: From Gothic to Fauvist
We'll trace the history of Paris from its Medieval roots to Modern by looking at styles such as Gothic, Rococo, Impressionism, Art Nouveau, and Fauvism. We'll examine the artistic transformation of Paris and the contributions of artists such as Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and others.
October 19 | Part 3: Amsterdam: The Golden Age
Discover Dutch art and the emergence of the Netherlands as a cultural and political power during the 17th century. Rembrandt Van Rijn, Judith Leyster, and Johannes Vermeer are among the Golden Age artists we'll explore.
October 24 | Part 4: Vienna: Baroque to Jugendstil
The Hapsburg Empire turned Vienna into a cultural and artistic capital, creating a stunning Baroque jewel. We'll delve into the city's art and architecture and discuss later movements such as Expressionism and Jugendstil by studying the work of Oskar Kokoschka, Egon Schiele, and Gustav Klimt, among others.
November 2 | Part 5: Barcelona: From Roman to Modernista
We’ll explore the cultural and political influences on Barcelona from its foundation as a Roman port to the Modernista movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We’ll study artists including Antoni Gaudí, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Salvador Dali.
November 9 | Part 6: Berlin: A City Divided
Since the late 19th century formation of the German Empire, Berlin has remained one of the most fascinating European cities. We’ll look at the visual history of Berlin by exploring the Museum Island and movements that shaped the city such as Romanticism, Realism, New Objectivity, and Die Brücke.
