Christmas Fantasia

Presented by Vanguard University at Unknown

This holiday season, Vanguard University’s award-winning music department will celebrate its 20th anniversary of the Christmas Fantasia concert series. The performances will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Newport Beach and at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.

Vanguard University’s nationally recognized Concert Choir and Orchestra, University Women’s Chorus, Jazz Ensemble, Guitar Quartet, Barbershop and Beautyshop Quartets and the Vanguard Singers and Band will set the stage for both Christmas Fantasia performances.

The annual concert, presented by Farmers and Merchants Bank, showcases talented students from Vanguard University’s music programs in an awe-inspiring production of holiday classics. One outstanding Vanguard music student will be recognized at each show for his or her outstanding academic performance with the presentation of the Ralph Carmichael Scholarship Award. Vanguard University’s own professor of music, Dr. James Melton, will lead both performances.

Proceeds from the Christmas Fantasia concert series support scholarships and other educational resources through the Vanguard University Fund.
