The Explorers Guild: Rick Ross and Explorations in Graphic Fiction

Presented by CSU Fullerton - College of the Arts at Nicholas & Lee Begovich Gallery, Cal State Fullerton

The Begovich Gallery presents Ross’ illustrations for The Explorers Guild: Volume One: A Passage to Shambhala, co-authored by actor, filmmaker, and CSUF alumnus Kevin Costner, and novelist Jon Baird. Together, they collaborated to create a style of graphic storytelling reflecting the rich tradition of early 20th-century adventure fiction.

Also on view: Ross’ short film Backslide (2003) starring Felicia Day; select pop culture paintings; drawings from Agitainment Comics; artwork for the graphic novelization of Spike TV’s 1000 Ways to Die; and motion comics for DeadTown and the television series Femme Fatales and Dexter.

GALLERY HOURS: Monday – Thursday, and Saturday: 12 – 4pm Closed: Friday, Sunday, major holidays, and periods of University closure. PARKING: Park in the Nutwood parking structure at St. College Blvd./Arts Drive. Parking if free starting at 5 pm Fridays, and weekends. At all other times, daily permits are required and can be purchased for $8 upon entering the parking structure/lots.
