Since 2002, CSUF has hosted an annual poetry reading series for the campus and community during National Poetry Month in April. In October 2016, we published Open Doors: An Invitation to Poetry, an anthology that honors the reading series and the work of poets who have read at Fullerton.
The twenty-six contemporary American poets in the anthology represent a wide range of styles, voices, and cultures. They include emerging and accomplished poets who have garnered honors such as MacArthur "Genius Grant" Fellowship, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Walt Whitman Award, a Best American Poetry selection, Poet Laureate of the United States, Poet Laureate of Arizona, and more. The making of the anthology also marks a beautiful collaboration in editing, design, and publishing among the Titans.
Please join us in a celebration honoring our contributing poets, artists, colleagues, and organizations that have supported the reading series and the book-making. We'll be at the Atrium Gallery of the Pollak Library, Cal State Fullerton.
Free and open to the public.
