The holiday repertoire features a mix of classical and contemporary vocal numbers, appealing to every age group. Tickets can be purchased on-line at the MCSV website www.masterchoralesv.org or at the door on the day of the concert.
Under the direction of Charles Stephenson, the group comprises over 50 experienced singers as well as an ensemble of studio musicians. The organization provides vocalists with many opportunities to participate in professional-level choral productions, as well as engage in volunteer service at civic events.
Founded in 1965, the Master Chorale of Saddleback Valley has the longest performing history of any choral group in Orange County. The group has been invited to perform Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at Carnegie Hall in New York City in May 2017.
“We're excited by the Carnegie Hall invitation, and the opportunity to join forces with Orange Master Chorale and Symphony Irvine," Stephenson commented. “We're actively recruiting additional qualified singers from Saddleback Valley communities who might enjoy the artistic experience of performing this challenging work at such a distinguished venue,” he added.
Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.masterchoralesv.org or at the door on the day of the concert. General Admission $15, Students/Senior $12, Children under 12 free.
