Sherman Library & Gardens is pleased to present the ‘Joyful Flowers’ Ikebana Show featuring exquisite arrangements created by teachers of Ikebana Lessons.  The show will also feature an ikebana-inspired display by our horticulture team.

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging, expressed in a special way using balance, harmony and form. In Ikebana, branches, leaves, flowers and everything that nature offers, is used for art making.  The Sangetsu School style aims to bring out the beauty of flowers and branches using their natural colors, lines, and shapes gently placed inside beautiful and unique vases and baskets.

Families will be invited to make their own mini-ikebana box to take home and the sales area will include kits, books, arrangements and bouquets to purchase.
